SX-BHC series Biosafety cabinet are designed and produced in strict accordance with NSF-49, JG170-2005 and other standards. In addition to the usual floating layer analysis and particle counting methods, microbial methods are also used to evaluate the performance of Biosafety cabinet.
1、 Working principle
When the fan is started, the airflow that flows into the cabinet from the previous working area is called inflow airflow and contains airborne aerosol substances generated during microbial experimental operations. The inflow airflow is sucked into the inflow airflow fence net in front of the nearest working platform to the operator. There is no unfiltered inflow airflow entering the actual working area of the safety cabinet, so there is no need to worry about sample contamination. The unique feature of the Biosafety cabinet is that there is a vertical downward airflow layer (air curtain airflow) filtered by HEPA inside the cabinet. The falling airflow layer will take away the pollutants in the air inside the cabinet, thus protecting the experimental samples from pollution. This downward airflow layer is called downflow gas (downflow). When the downward airflow is close to the workbench, it will be divided into two streams: one stream enters the air barrier net at the back of the cabinet, and the other stream is sucked into the air barrier net closest to the operator. All gases inside the cabinet are treated as a whole, with some being discharged outside the cabinet through HEPA filters, while the other part is circulated as a downflow inside the cabinet after being filtered by HEPA. Since the air flow in the cabinet is always in a negative pressure state, the operators and the environment are not exposed to harmful Biogenic substance, which is applicable to the work of biological reagents in the biosafety standards of Class I, II and III.
